This is a special dog, Dripping Springs, and she really needs a forever home! Elsa is a Cell Dog graduate, a certified Canine Good Citizen and…she’s deaf. This girl doesn’t know the meaning of “can’t.” She is a Black Mouth Cur Mix, which means she’s super smart. She knows hand signals for basic commands, like sit, good, down, and stay, and PAWS Shelter and Humane Society has a handout for her adopter showing the signals with the command. Elsa can live with another dog in the house as long as she gets to know them on neutral ground first, so PAWS would highly encourage a meet and greet (PAWS is now open 7 days a week). The ideal doggie housemate would be an easy going, non-bossy pup. Elsa has lived with 6 cats and children of all ages. She’s crate trained and loves settling in for the night with a bone or stuffed Kong. She loves playing fetch, going on walks and playing with toys. She is a very active, playful and trusting dog. Take her for a big walk every day; give her something to do. After her job is done, she’s happy to curl up with you in the evenings.
The staff at PAWS is doing everything they can to give her extra-attention, but she’s having a tough time being in the shelter. Could you be Elsa’s forever home?
Elsa is available for adoption from PAWS Shelter and Humane Society at the shelter in Kyle. PAWS encourages people to come and meet the dogs, bring your kids, bring your other pets, to see if there is a good fit. All PAWS animals are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and ready to be adopted! For more information, contact PAWS at (512) 268-1611 or visit pawsshelter.org.
